Killriculum

“Killriculum” is an original and innovative project aimed at enabling a broad range of young people to engage with film and new media. We envisage it running over 3 phases for the next 18 months, culminating in the Oct 09 digital film and media event in birmingham UK with a feature film premiere.
Phase 1 – engage YP in web based short film initiative:
Creation of innovative on line environment to enable YP to access the project and network: receive training opps/ upload short films via be spoke you tube viewer/ also recruitment of young people / filmmaking workshops across region and at event and showcasing of a variety of the films as well as “ best of ” event at the Digital film and media event.
Phase 2 & 3 – enable YP to have the opportunity to participate in a full length feature film to be distributed nationally and internationally.
Building on phase 1 we will develop and produce Killriculum (the feature film) beginning Nov 08. Further recruitment: on line script collaboration: on line film dev: workshops on film making / drama / writing/ and casting of roles moving into pre production and shoot which will be run over a 3 week residential film school summer 2009. The film will premier on line and at 09 digital event simultaneously.

For some it would be a dream come true. Your parents win the lottery and you are rich beyond your wildest dreams, but this is no dream for Josh and Des Jones. For whilst their parents are living it up in the Caribbean, Josh and Des are going private.
Welcome to the Hun School of Hereford where new friends and a new life awaits. But all is not what it seems, scratch the surface of this old world establishment and you will find a key to a darker, more vicious world; a killing world.
